As your therapist, I am committed to helping you solve your problems and get your life where you want it to be.

After careful evaluation, I will assist you in building a treatment plan that is realistic and best supports your overall goals. Over time, we will discover what works best for you, making  any adjustments as needed as we progress.

I will listen to you thoroughly so that I have a clear understanding of your presenting problems, needs, and desires. While my clients have similar problems, it is important that your therapy is individualized to meet your specific needs and goals.

I will share my observations, opinions, and suggestions but ultimately, what we focus on during our therapy sessions will be your choice. You decide how you want to proceed. You can select a pace that is comfortable for you.

How I Work With You

My mission is to provide you with a safe and relaxing environment that encourages healing. I want to help motivate you to explore your sense of self, aspirations, and plans for the future. Therapy will be a place where you can get to the source of your current troubles and learn to live in light and happiness.

While I am compassionate and supportive, I am more than just an empathetic ear. I am a skilled clinician with a great deal of experience.  I will use my expertise to aid you through your mission of problem- solving, developing healthy habits, and creating the happiness you seek.

I use an integrated therapy approach customized to your needs. It incorporates 3 principal therapeutic forms:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a hands-on, short-term therapeutic method that aims to change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. CBT can help you alter your thoughts and behaviors that conflict with how you want your life to be.

CBT can help you have more positive thoughts about yourself and your life, which can in turn, help you make the changes necessary to improve the quality of your life.

• Psychodynamic Therapy (PT)

Psychodynamic therapy is an insight-oriented therapy, focusing on the influence that your past has on your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

PT works to change the unconscious processes that lead to damaging feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. With greater awareness, you will have more freedom to make better choices that nourish and sustain you in your life.

• Interpersonal Therapy (IT)

Interpersonal therapy is a form of short-term psychotherapy that focuses on how your interpersonal relationships (especially, those by caregivers in your early life) have impacted you.

Techniques of IT include, identification of emotion, expression of emotion, and dealing with emotional baggage.

IT is an effective form of treatment for depression, anxiety, addictions, and other problems. This approach will help you improve your communication patterns and how you relate to others.

I use the above counseling methods to guide and support you in creating a better life. I want you to have a life where you are no longer plagued by anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or addictions.

The long-term goal of my therapy sessions with you is to lead you towards functioning independently where you no longer need therapy.

When you can process your thoughts, respond appropriately, and be at peace with yourself and the outcome, you will know that it is time to soar on your own.
